I agree that we're heavily criticized if we even look like we're going to use our military for
something.

That being said, we'll only go over there if the Europeans are behind us (or begging), which
will make things easier from a political standpoint than they were heading into Iraq.
However, we're stretched too thin to be any good to anyone right now.
