I know I'm walking a fine line here; I'm not trying to demean our
military at all and there is a part of me that really wants to believe
that our nation could come together in such a scenario like the way
they did in WWII...but I worry that we've lost touch with the inner
strength it would take to fight and win such a war. I hope I'm
wrong...and I guess there's no way to really know unless we were put
in that situation. It's just that I'm not 100% confident that we
would be able to handle the news of a Normandy invasion if one were to
be needed tomorrow.

Then again, this is where faith comes in to play...and that is a big,
big help.
