Subject: To the larger point...

Message:

In the books about the lead up to and conduct of the war ie. Cobra 2
and Fiasco among others, you can get a clear picture of Mr. Feith. He
co-ordinated the Defense Depts collaboration with the Veeps office to
sell the war. Example: The CIA had info from a member of the Iraqi
cabinet that there were no WMDs. The Feith/Cheney newly created
intelligence stream dismissed that info as unsupported. Instead they
sent Colin Powell to the UN with drawings of mobile chemical assault
boxcars that had been alleged by "curveball", a drunk supplied by
Ahmed Chalabi. Feith fought Powell on whether the Defense Dept. or
State should handle the occupation and we know how that turned out. So
to anyone who jumps on Bugs review of Feiths' book, please give all
the others, by military men, journalists etc. a read before accepting
self-serving revisionism.
